How can we help?

We would love to hear from you.

As a removalist company, our billing process does not include the time it takes for our trucks to travel from our depot to your location and back again. This is considered part of the overall service, and you will be charged for the time the trucks are in transit with your work. It's essential to discuss the specifics of the billing structure with your removalist company beforehand, as different companies may have variations in their pricing policies. Clear communication about any potential additional costs or fees will help ensure a transparent and smooth experience for both parties.

As a removalist, we understand the importance of handling your belongings with utmost care. However, in the unlikely event that your furniture is damaged or broken during the move, our company typically has a claims process in place to address such situations.

It's essential to carefully review the terms and conditions of the moving contract, including the company's policy on damages, before the move begins. Additionally, consider opting for removals insurance to provide extra protection for your valuable items during transit.

Remember, communication is key. If any concerns arise during the move or if you notice damage, address them promptly with the moving team to ensure a timely and satisfactory resolution

You can find information on preparing for a removal from various sources, including our removalist company's website, customer service, online resources and blogs, social media groups, books, government websites, YouTube videos, local services, and advice from friends and family. Combining insights from these diverse sources will help you create a comprehensive plan for a successful and organized move.

Yes, our removalists offer storage solutions for situations where you need to move out before your new place is ready. We can assist in arranging secure storage for your belongings, saving you the hassle of managing it independently. It's recommended to discuss storage options with your chosen removalist to ensure a seamless transition during the moving process.

Brittix Removals typically transports furniture by loading it onto their dedicated removalist trucks. However in few instances, for interstate or complex moves, there may be transfers between vehicles or storage facilities. The goal is to ensure efficient logistics for a secure and timely delivery. To get precise details, it's recommended to discuss the transportation process directly with Brittix Removals.

While you have the option to instruct the removalist on your preferred packing methods, it's important to note that without formal training as a packer, achieving the desired level of skill might be challenging. Doing the packing yourself may impact insurance coverage, and in case of breakages, the removalist may not be held responsible. Consider discussing your concerns with the removalist to find the best approach for your specific needs.

It's generally a considerate practice to ask removalists if they prefer to remove their shoes or boots when entering your home. Some removalists may automatically do so to keep your floors clean, while others might have specific company policies. Clear communication about your preferences or inquiries about theirs can help establish a comfortable arrangement during the move.

Always consult the manufacturer's instructions when preparing washing machines for a move. Proper preparation is crucial as washing machines are easily damaged. It's your responsibility, not the removalists, to ensure their proper handling. Any damage resulting from inadequate preparation will not be the removalists responsibility.

Yes, Considering moving insurance is advisable for added protection. It provides coverage for potential damages or losses during the removal, offering peace of mind. Assess your needs and the value of your belongings to make an informed decision on whether to opt for moving insurance.

The pricing structure can vary among removalists. Some charge on an hourly basis, while others use a cubic volume-based approach. It's crucial to clarify the pricing method with your chosen removalist in advance to understand how they calculate the cost of your move. This transparency helps you plan and budget effectively for the relocation.

Several factors contribute to the duration of a move, such as the volume of items, truck parking, apartment level, home access (e.g., stairs or lifts), and transit distance. As a rough guideline:- For a 1-bedroom home, expect 2-4 hours.

A 2-bedroom home may take 4-6 hours.

A 3-bedroom home could require 5-7 hours.

For a 4-bedroom home, anticipate 7-10 hours.

It's important to note that these estimates are general and subject to variation based on specific circumstances and unforeseen challenges during the move.

Yes! Feel free to pack your own boxes; we understand that personal items require special care. While we assure you that our team will handle your belongings with the utmost diligence during the move, it's important to note that in the event of any breakages, the removalist won't be held responsible. Additionally, such items won't be covered by our insurance unless you've arranged for coverage.

When it comes to moving plants, navigating potential risks is crucial. Consulting with your removalist is essential, as their policies on moving plants may vary. While some removalists are willing to transport plants, others may not offer this service. It's important to note that storing plants during a move into storage might not be practical. Additionally, interstate moves with plants could face restrictions due to State importation laws. It's advisable to check the specific regulations governing plant transportation to ensure compliance and avoid any legal issues. Always communicate with your removalist to understand their policies and any constraints related to moving plants during your relocation.

You can obtain packing materials from our removalist, local moving supply stores, or online retailers. Many removalists offer packing materials, including boxes, tape, and bubble wrap, simplifying the process of preparing for your move. Additionally, local stores or online platforms provide a convenient option to purchase the necessary packing supplies.

Brittix Removals may offer backloading services, which involve transporting your items on a return journey of a truck that would otherwise be empty. This can be a cost-effective option for customers. To confirm the availability and details of backloading services, it's recommended to inquire directly with Brittix Removals.

While it's not obligatory, offering food and drinks to the removalists is a thoughtful gesture. It can contribute to a positive working environment, but it's ultimately your choice based on your preferences and the duration of their work.

The plastic utilized by removalists for covering furniture is specifically designed for this purpose. However, if your furniture is already damp prior to wrapping, it could pose a problem. In such cases, if the removalist identifies any dampness, they will likely bring it to your attention and may opt for an alternative like removal blankets instead of plastic covering. This ensures that your furniture is appropriately protected during the move while addressing any potential moisture issues.

Before the removalists arrive, empty and clean your fridge. If storing it, wipe the interior with vanilla essence to prevent mildew. The removal company will store the fridge following the manufacturer's guidelines. Remember, for storage, maintaining a clean interior with vanilla essence helps prevent mildew.

If you can't be present when the furniture arrives, it's essential to arrange for a representative or someone you trust to be there. This ensures a smooth delivery process, and communication with the removalists in advance can help coordinate the arrival in your absence. Keep the lines of communication open to facilitate a successful handover of your belongings.

The payment terms can differ among removalists. It's common for removalist companies to require payment upon completion of the job rather than upfront. However, it's essential to clarify the payment details with your chosen removalist beforehand to understand their specific policies. This helps ensure a clear understanding of when and how payment should be made for the services provided.

Yes, our removalists can disassemble and reassemble standard furniture like bed frames and tables. Keep in mind that they are not handymen and won't carry power tools. Certain tasks, such as mounting a TV on a wall, are beyond their scope. There are no extra charges for disassembling or reassembling furniture, but these services will be billed at our standard rates. For items like IKEA furniture, it's advisable to disassemble them before the move if they are not suitable for transport in one piece.
